Step 1
This will be the main color of your origami daylily.
Step 2
Fold the paper in half, at opposite corners.
Step 3
Unfold.
Fold the paper in half again, at the other opposite corners.
Step 4
Unfold.
Flip the paper.
Step 5
Fold the paper in half, at opposite edges.
Step 6
Unfold.
Fold the paper in half again, at the other opposite edges.
Step 7
Unfold.
Step 8
Fold all four corners to the center of the paper.
Step 9
Unfold.
Step 10
Fold the paper in half again, at opposite edges.
Step 11
Make an opening in the middle of the paper.
Step 12
Fold the paper into a square base.
Step 13
Fold the top right edge to the middle.
Step 14
Unfold. Straighten the flap. Make an opening to the flap.
Fold the flap down to the center.
Step 15
Repeat steps 13 and 14 with the rest of the flaps.
Step 16
Fold the bottom right edge to the middle.
Step 17
Repeat with the bottom left edge.
Step 18
Unfold. Make an opening at the center.
Fold both left and right corners to the middle at the creases.
Step 19
Fold down the top flap.
Step 20
Repeat steps 16 to 19 with the rest of flaps.
Step 21
Flip through the flaps to flat surface.
Step 22
Fold the top right edge to the middle.
Step 23
Repeat with the top left edge.
Step 24
Repeat steps 22 and 23 with the rest of the flaps.
Step 25
Place the paper upside down.
Step 26
Bend each top flaps outward and curve them using a pencil to make the petals.
Your origami daylily is done!
