Step 1

In this tutorial, I am using a colored paper with both surfaces the same color.
Step 2

Fold the paper in half vertically.
Step 3

Unfold.
Step 4

Fold the paper horizontally.
Step 5

Unfold.
Step 6

Fold the paper in half at a diagonal angle.
Step 7

Unfold.
Step 8

Fold the paper in half at the opposite diagonal angle.
Step 9

Unfold.
Step 10

Bring the left and right edges to the middle guided by the horizontal crease.
Step 11

Fold and you will get a triangle shape.
Step 12

Bring the left and right corners to the top corner and fold.
Step 13

Flip the paper.
Step 14

Repeat step 12.
Step 15

Flip through the flaps and use this surface.
Step 16

Fold the left corner to the middle at a slightly slanted angle.
Step 17

Repeat with the left corner.
Step 18

Insert the left flap into the opening of the right flap.
Step 19

Flip the paper.
Step 20

Repeat steps 16, 17, and 18 with this side of the paper.

Flip through the flaps and use this surface.

Peel down a little bit of each tip of the top folds.

Rotate the origami upside down.

Blow through the hole at this end and you shall get this result.

Rotate the paper.

Peel down the flaps a little more and your origami tulip head is done.

Get a green origami paper. I am using a colored paper with both surfaces the same color.

Fold both top left and right edges to the middle.

Fold both bottom left and right edges to the middle.

Flip the paper.

Fold the paper in half horizontally.

Fold the paper in half vertically.

Peel the bigger flap down at an angle. The bigger part of this origami is the leaf, and the smaller part is the stem.

Poke the bottom of the tulip head with the stem, and your origami tulip is complete!
